What the 8th Dialogue for Global Innovation is all about

Since 2010, Dialogue for Global Innovation (DFGI) has been accelerating the borderless innovation specially among Japan and European countries.
During the decade, it has been organizing Industry-Academia collaborated symposiums in embassies, national institutes and leading universities to exchange latest achievements and business insights beyond circles.
Coffee breaks and lunch gatherings are benefits for innovative leaders from several countries and organizations.
In this 7th symposium is going to discuss about "Technology and Humanity -How to cope with Conscious AI age?" subsequently the 6th symposium. Join us and be a part of the global innovation.

Keynote Speaker：
Sir Dr. Hermann Hauser: In 2015 Hermann was awarded an KBE for services to Engineering and Industry.
Serial Entrepreneur and Co-founder of Amadeus Capital Partners, Dr Hermann Hauser KBE has wide experience in developing and ﬁnancing companies in the information technology sector.
He co-founded a number of high-tech companies including Acorn Computers which spun out ARM, E-trade UK, Virata and Cambridge Network. Subsequently Hermann became vice president of research at Olivetti. During his tenure at Olivetti, he established a global network of research laboratories. Since leaving Olivetti, Hermann has founded over 20 technology companies. In 1997, he co-founded Amadeus Capital Partners. At Amadeus he invested in CSR, Solexa, Icera, Xmos and Cambridge Broadband.
Hermann is a Fellow of the Royal Society, the Institute of Physics, the Royal Society of Chemistry and of the Royal Academy of Engineering, as well as an Honorary Fellow of King's College, Cambridge. In 2001 he was awarded an Honorary CBE for ʻinnovative service to the UK enterprise sectorʼ. In 2004 he was made a member of the Governmentʼs Council for Science and Technology and in 2013 he was made a Distinguished Fellow of BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT.
Hermann has honorary doctorates from the Universities of Loughborough, Bath, Anglia Ruskin, Strathclyde, Glasgow and York.

Keynote Speaker：
Mr. Gary Brotman: Gary Brotman is a passionate product and technology maven who leads Secondmind as Chief Executive Officer. He has 20+ years of experience leading teams responsible for building, commercializing, and evangelizing product and service lines for leading Fortune 500 companies and startups with machine learning, mobile, and media at their core. Gary joined Secondmind from Qualcomm, Technologies, Inc. where as Head of AI Strategy and Product Planning he led the productization of the first four generations of Qualcomm AI Engines across the company’s Snapdragon SoC Platforms for Mobile, Automotive and IoT.

Invited Speaker：
Prof. Carl Edward Rasmussen: Carl is Professor of Machine Learning at the University of Cambridge, and Chief Scientist at Secondmind. Carl did his PhD in Toronto, Canada, with Geoff Hinton, did a postdoc a the Technical University of Denmark and was Senior Research Fellow at the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience unit at UCL in London, UK. He was a group leader at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tübingen, Germany, and Head of the Computational and Biological Learning Lab in the department of Engineering at University of Cambridge. He is co-chairman and chief Scientist at Secondmind.

Invited Speaker：
Prof. Sethu Vijayakumar: Sethu Vijayakumar is the Professor of Robotics at the University of Edinburgh, UK and the Director of the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics. He has pioneered the use of large-scale machine learning techniques in the real-time control of several iconic robotic platforms such as the SARCOS and the HONDA ASIMO humanoids, KUKA-LWR robot arm and iLIMB prosthetic hand. One of his landmark projects (2016) involves a collaboration with NASA Johnson Space Centre on the Valkyrie humanoid robot being prepared for unmanned robotic pre-deployment missions to Mars. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, a judge on BBC Robot Wars and winner of the 2015 Tam Dalyell Prize for excellence in engaging the public with science. Professor Vijayakumar helps shape and drive the national Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) agenda in his recent role as the Programme Director for Artificial Intelligence (AI) at The Alan Turing Institute, the UK’s national institute for data science and AI. He has a long standing connection with Japan since he graduated with a MEng and PhD from the Tokyo Institute of Technology and has ongoing projects with several leading Japanese instituitions liek RIKEN, AIST, NII and industry like HONDA, Kawada and Hitachi.
